A ruling Democratic Party (DS) vice-president says any possible government reshuffle "requires the consensus of all partners". But Jelena Trivan noted that DS was "willing to back all necessary changes to the government, including removal of those who failed to achieve their goals". Democrats "willing to back reshuffle" “Personally, I think government reshuffle is a good idea. Although, I do not expect that it would result in major savings, I think it would introduce order, increase efficiency and show that ministers are replaceable and accountable. The reshuffle would mark the beginning of a serious government and political reform which would require a lot of courage," Trivan told the Belgrade-based daily Blic. She rejected reports that DS and opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS) have had secret talks about a possible coalition after the election. “SNS are our most fervent political opponents,” she said, adding that it is not mere political bickering, but rather a fundamental difference that sets the two parties poles apart. SNS represents a direction that cannot bring good things to Serbia, Trivan concluded.
