A total of 37.87 percent of registered voters participated in the second round of local elections in 21 Kosovo municipalities. The Central Election Commission in Kosovo (CIK) stated on Sunday night that the second round of elections for municipal presidents wrapped up with about 38 percent of the 376,337 registered voters participating. Ismet Krueziju of the Democracy in Action non-governmental organization said that there was double-voting, physical assaults, bribes, ballot box stuffing, attempts to vote in the name of the deceased, pictures of candidates appearing at the polling stations, electricity being cut off, among other infractions. However, he added that these incidents "did not affect the results of the voting significantly". There was a fight in Malisevo and four people were arrested in Janjevo near Gnjilane for assaulting an official of the Democratic League of Kosovo. Albanian language media stated that one activist of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has hit with a blunt object in the head in Gnjilane after confronting activists of the Democratic League of Kosovo that were trying to tear down a poster close to the polling station. Hashim Thac's PDK has proclaimed victories in (southern) Kosovska Mitrovica, Prizren and Kacanik. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo stated that its candidate received the most votes in Pec and Suva Reka. The Democratic League of Kosovo candidates announced victories in Podujevo, Novo Brdo and Obilic. Serbs had two candidates, in Strpce and Novo Brdo, with only Bratislav Nikolic of the Independent Liberal Party expected to win in Strpce with 63 percent of those who turned out voting for him.
