Velimir Ilic says the time for street protests has passed and that Serbia needs to “work and be built.” "Now’s not the time for street riots. That time has passed and I believe that people are tired of protests,” said the New Serbia (NS) leader, commenting on statements from the Serb Radical Party (SRS) that a “hot political autumn” lay ahead, and that the party would use all legal democratic forms of parliamentary and non-parliamentary struggle against the current government. Ilic: No more street protests Ilic said that he thought the opposition should fight democratically, through parliament. He said that the opposition would criticize the government inside parliament, especially when it failed to meet deadlines for important projects. "If these projects are not carried out, we’ll call to account those who made the promises, and we’ll demand new elections,” underlined Ilic.
