The coalition gathered around the opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS) would get 41.7 percent of the votes of the Serbian citizens at the moment. That coalition includes Velimir Ilic's New Serbia (NS) and a number of smaller parties currently not represented in the country's parliament. The newspaper published the results of a public opinion survey conducted in March "by one of the best-known Serbian agencies". According to that source, 66.4 pecent of citizens would support early elections, while the daily emphasized that “the worrying thing“ was that, for the first time, less than one half of respondents said that they supported Serbia's EU integration. The survey was conducred from March 1 to 25 by the deep field interview method, at the representative sample of 1.711 citizens in Serbia, excluding Kosovo. According to the poll, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) is third most popular with 8.6 percent of votes, while the another three parties would cross the 5-percent threshold necessary to win seats in parliament: the Serb Radical Party (SRS) with 7.5 percent of votes, the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) with 7.1 percent and the coalition between the Socialist Party of Serbia and PUPS with 5.5% of votes. All other parties, including G17 Plus/URS with 1.4 percent support, would be left out, according to the poll.
