Council of Europe special rapporteur Dick Marty is visiting Kosovo regarding the alleged crimes of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army in north Albania. Albanian language daily Express writes today in Pristina that Marty arrived in Kosovo on Monday afternoon, that he will stay until Wednesday, and that two investigators have come along with him. Marty’s visit is “secret and his agenda was not publicized”, reports say. Kosovo government spokesperson Memli Krasniqi said that the Kosovo prime minister does not have a scheduled meeting with Marty in the coming two days. The newspaper that Marty “could be meeting with officials of the Kosovo Justice Ministry”. But this ministry stated that its minister does not have a meeting scheduled with Marty either. Marty was in Belgrade two months ago, where he met with Serbian officials about the suspicions regarding the kidnappings of Serbs and other non-Albanians and human trafficking activity, in a case investigated by the Serbian War Crimes Prosecution, and known informally as the Yellow House.
