Kosovo police say that 3 Serbs arrested in Caglavica yesterday bribed Kosovo Serbs to say that their organs had been extracted during the conflict in Kosovo. Kosovo Police Service (KPS) spokesman Arber Beka told FoNet that the KPS had information that the suspects had offered Serbs in Kosovo EUR 100,000, an apartment and a car each to say that their organs had been extracted. KPS: Suspects bribed local Serbs Beka said that the suspects, one of whom is a former KPS officer from near Strpce and the other two from Novi Sad and Belgrade, had been running this operation in Kosovo for some time. The KPS said that it would try, with UNMIK’s help, to establish where they had ties to anyone in Serbia proper. Quoting police sources, Pristina daily Express claims that the KPS believes that two of the suspects work for the Serbian security services (BIA). The daily adds that the police have been tracking the suspects for some time, and that they are believed to have been behind the attacks on customs checkpoints in northern Kosovo in February 2008, as well as other serious crimes.
