Albanians are signing a petition against the report prepared by the Council of Europe rapporteur Dick Marty. The Swiss senator published the report late last year, naming Kosovo Albanian PM and former leader of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) as being responsible for kidnappings of Serbs and other civilians in the province. Albanians against organ trafficking report According to the accusations, the victims were taken to northern Albania, where their vital organs were removed to be sold in the black market. Now, reports the ATA news agency, the petition signing was organized in front of the Albanian parliament, with many Tirana residents signing the document. The petition was prepared by non-government organizations from Kosovo - Kosovo Liberation Army veterans, "families of martyrs", and others. They announced the petition will also be sent to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Albanian officials vehemently denied the allegations and expressed readiness to cooperate in the investigation. Marty's report on the crimes committed in Kosovo and Albania will be on PACE's agenda later this month.
