The construction of a bridge in Belgrade over the Danube River will begin in April this year, said officials. The bridge will link Belgrade's Zemun and Borca municipalities. "Chinese bridge" works in April Minister for National Investment Plan Verica Kalanovic stated that the advance payment to be made to the Chinese company China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has not yet been determined. However, she said, "it will certainly not exceed 15 percent of the total amount due". According to the deal with the Chinese side, the construction should start from the river, which is why the land expropriation does not need to be completed by then, Kalanovic pointed out.
