Tuzla gunman in failed suicide bid

Tomislav Petrović, who shot dead six people in Tuzla in the Bosnian Federation yesterday, tried to commit suicide while under interrogation at Tuzla police station.

Tomislav Petrovic, who shot dead six people in Tuzla in the Bosnian Federation yesterday, tried to commit suicide while under interrogation at Tuzla police station. He was prevented from doing so by police officers, however, after trying to slash his wrists with a broken glass, and was transferred to the Tuzla Neuro-Psychiatric Clinic. A bus driver seriously injured in the attack, Mursel Colic (41), who suffered wounds to the chest and upper arm, has been successfully operated on, and is out of danger. Tuzla Canton Prosecutor Damir Alic said after questioning that Petrovic's motives for the attack were still unknown.

Following the massacre, the police also removed Petrović's family from the area, for fear of reprisal attacks from the victims' families.

A bus driver seriously injured in the attack, Mursel Čolić (41), who suffered wounds to the chest and upper arm, has been successfully operated on, and is out of danger.

Tuzla Canton Prosecutor Damir Alić said after questioning that Petrović's motives for the attack were still unknown.
