Most German firms doing business in Serbia are satisfied, according to a poll conducted by German business associations. The poll carried out by the German Commercial Association and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK) in Belgrade indicates that representatives of German firms believe that the situation at their subsidiaries in Serbia is generally good. German companies in Serbia satisfied 52 percent view the current situation as positive, 41 percent as satisfactory, and just 3 percent are dissatisfied. Three quarters of German firms covered by the survey view their future positively and expect higher turnover—many are also preparing new investments. In 2008, as many as 74 percent expect improved business results, while not a single firm expects a downturn, says the Serbian Chamber of Commerce’s representative office in Germany.
