IMF to upgrade Serbia's GDP growth outlook to 0.5 percent

The IMF had previously changed its original projection from -0.5 to 0.

As Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has recently estimated, Serbia could record a GDP growth of between 0.5 to 1 percent in 2015.

This is supported by the economic developments in the first seven months of 2015.

The budget deficit for this period totaled between RSD 25 and 30 billion.

This is four or five times less than the target value supported by the IMF and three times less than the level stipulated by the Maastricht criteria.

The budget surplus recorded in July amounted to RSD 2.2 billion, the RTS learned from the Finance Ministry, Tanjug reported.
