British Prime Minister David Cameron announced that he was "deeply saddened" by the killings, describing them as an "appalling and inexcusable act of terror perpetrated against young teenagers". According to Cameron, his country would "stand with Israel as it seeks to bring those responsible to justice."

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton has also condemned the murder of three Israeli teenagers whose bodies were found on Monday near the city of Hebron.

"We strongly condemn this barbaric act and hope that the perpetrators will be quickly brought to justice", said Ashton in a press release.

She called on all parties in the Middle East conflict to show maximum restraint.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel described the murder of three young Israelis as a "heinous act for which there is no excuse," Israeli media reported today.

She said in a statement said she was "shocked" and that her thoughts were with the families and friends of the victims, reported the AFP.

The teenagers were kidnapped on June 12 and until Monday were considered missing. Israel has accused the Palestinian organization Hamas for this crime and announced reprisals.
