Former IMF President Dominique Strauss Kahn showed up today in a court in New York to reject the rape charges brought against him. The Frenchman is suspected of raping a 32-year-old hotel maid. Ex-IMF chief pleads "not guilty" to rape charges Flanked by lawyers, Strauss Kahn entered his not guilty plea on all counts of the indictment. His wife, French journalist Anne Sinclair, was in the courtroom. Strauss Kahn's lawyers said they were "convinced" forensic evidence would not support the prosecution's claim that the former IMF chief engaged in a forced sexual intercourse. They also said there was information that would "seriously diminish the credibility" of the woman who reported the assault. However, they would not give any other details concerning this claim. Strauss Kahn was arrested in New York on May 14, and was forced to resign from the top IMF office soon after. He is currently out on a million dollar bail, and under house arrest.
