World No. 1, Serbia's Novak Djokovic, beat Florian Mayer of Germany 6-4, 6-1, 6-4 on Wednesday and secured his semifinal spot in Wimbledon men's singles. Despite forecasts of heavy rain this morning, the match was interrupted for only 15 minutes during the first set. Djokovic beats Mayer to book clash with Federer Djokovic, the defending champion, will play his third consecutive Wimbledon semifinal. The Serb will face Swiss Roger Federer who eliminated Russia's Mikhail Youzhny, also in straight sets. The semifinal match will also be a battle for Djokovic to keep his ATP crown, as Federer might go back to the top in case the Serb is defeated.
