Patriarch Irinej of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) served the Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great in Belgrade's Church of St. Marko on Saturday. He is also scheduled to serve the Holy Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom in the Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel. Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church in Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar will serve the Easter Vigil mass on Saturday, due to start in the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Belgrade at 08:30 CET. This year, Serbia's majority Orthodox believers, and those belonging to minority Christian denominations that include Catholics and Protestants, celebrate Easter on the same day.
