Head coach of the Serbian national basketball team Dusan Ivkovic stated on Thursday that he will continue to perform the coach duty as a volunteer. He said he would stay on until the closing of the 2012 Olympic cycle. Famed coach volunteers for Serbia squad “The situation in the country is difficult and I cannot take money from the Serbian Basketball Association (KSS),” Ivkovic told a news conference in the KSS headquarters. “The decision to perform as a volunteer is my modest contribution to basketball in this difficult moment,” he concluded. Ivkovic's career as coach saw him lead a number of European clubs to win national and international trophies. In parallel with his Serbia engagement Ivkovic is currently head coach of Olympiacos Piraeus. He is among four Serbs who were named among Euroleague's 10 Greatest All-Time Coaches. Dusan Ivkovic
