The water level of the Sava River near the western Serbian town of Sabac is on the rise and emergency flood defense is still in force. Defense levees have been reinforced in the village of Provo and livestock have been evacuated. Sava River water level on rise The water level of the Drina River is stagnating and water has withdrawn from about 200 homes in the village of Prnjavor. Electricity is back on and food and drinking water are being provided to the residents. The Sava River flooded fields and around-the-clock field duties have been set up in the villages of Badovinci, Crna Bara and Salas. The water level of the Drina River, which flooded the entire area around the town of Loznica, is declining but a large number of family homes, vacation houses and other buildings are still flooded and surrounded by water. Food, drinking water, clothes and equipment are distributed to the endangered citizens along the Drina River and people can also get necessary medical treatment there, Head of Loznica Emergency Situation Headquarters Petar Katanic stressed. He also added that water management company Vode Vojvodine had brought large pumps to Banja Koviljaca yesterday and that they had been pumping out groundwater which threatened to cause big flooding. The water is also being pumped out of the houses and the town emergency situation teams are in the field, disinfecting the flooded areas, Katanic explained. Pavlovica most border crossing is closed due to overflowing of the Drina River on the Bosnian side. The water level of the Lim River dropped by more than a meter in the towns of Prijepolje and Priboj. The water is withdrawing and reparations of buildings are underway but there is a lack of water pumps, ventilators and toiletries.
