About 1,500 students of the Belgrade University protested in front of the government building, calling for relaxations when registering for studies. One side of Nemanjina St. where the government building is located, is closed for traffic, with some 50 students remaining there. Students protest, block major bridge The student delegation was expected to meet with government officials at 16:00 CET. A portion of the students have separated from the main group and are now blocking Brankov Bridge across the Sava River as well. The students are calling for the so-called cumulative registration, in which all those who meet conditions for receiving assistance in the form of one-time payments for 2009/2010 academic year would receive this aid.
