Ten workers suffered light injuries in a blast at an explosives and pyrotechnics factory in Krusevac. The workers at the southern Serbian town plant, owned by the Trayal Corporation, all sustained light wounds, mostly cuts and scrapes, according to company medical chief Slavica Stojiljkovic. 10 hurt in explosives factory blast Two ambulances arrived to the factory grounds after the accident, but all of the injured were treated by factory medical staff and did not have to be taken to the hospital. The explosion occurred at 07:05 CET and according to Trayal officials, the mill used to homogenize crude materials exploded. The company told Beta news agency that the first shift of workers arrived at 06:30 CET and turned on the machine, adding that there was no one next to the mill and no employees in the room when the blast occurred. The workers who were injured were cut by the shards of glass flying out of the room after the explosion. The material damage, however, is estimated to be huge. An investigation into the explosion is ongoing.
