A swastika and a series of insults have been scrawled on the headquarters of the Roma Union in Belgrade, the party states. Roma Union President Rajko Djuric said that the swastika and insults, such as “F--- your gypsy mother”, had appeared on the wall and door of the office overnight. He said that the incident had been reported to the police and that an investigation was under way. Roma Union offices vandalized Djuric said that something like this could have been expected, since the Roma Union had been “eliminated as a party.” He added that in the last year, particularly at the height of the election campaign, he had received threatening text messages, though he had not attached much significance to such acts. Djuric’s Roma Union of Serbia failed to pass the census at the May 11 elections.
