One of the suspects is a police officer, who was suspended Tuesday. The police did not release the identity of the suspect.

The six are wanted for war crimes committed against civilians and Croatian prisoners from November 18-20, 1991, in Lušca, near Vukovar. After their apartments were searched, 800 pistol and rifle bullet rounds were found.

There are nine individuals wanted for the crimes, in which they allegedly kept prisoners in a school basement before sending them to a camp, where they were physically and mentally abused, some of whom died as a result.

The ages of the six arrested persons range from 40 to 55.

Three suspects remain at large.
