At the same time, the number of migrants and refugees waiting to enter Macedonia from Greece has risen to almost 10,000.

UNHCR, Doctors Without Borders and other organizations said that the Idomeni camp now has between 9,500 and 10,000 migrants, most of them from Syria and Iraq.

The entry of migrants coming from war zones to Macedonia has been almost halted over the past two days due to stricter controls. The border can now be crossed only by those carrying "complete documentation."

As a result, only several dozen people have been able to enter Macedonia daily on their way to Serbia, and then to western European countries.
