The police are yet to issue a statement about the incident.

According to unofficial information, the driver succumbed to his wounds, while none of the passengers were seriously hurt.

Eye witnesses said that a young man dressed in black threw the device in, and then ran in the direction of the Tempo shopping mall.

The police blocked the area and are looking for the attacker. According to reports, the police suspect that the killer was "a person who was previously in conflict with the driver" - but so far have no proof of this.

Tanjug is quoting RS MUP spokesperson Mirna Šoja who said the incident "does not represent a terrorist attack."

She confirmed that a high school student who was standing at the bus stop was lightly injured when the device exploded.
