Skopje: Parliament approves new government

Macedonia's government of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski was approved in the country's parliament late on Thursday in Skopje.

Macedonia's government of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski was approved in the country's parliament late on Thursday in Skopje. The new coalition cabinet was set up by Gruevski after his party won the last month's elections with the promises of economic revival. Skopje: Parliament approves new government 70 MPs of the Macedonian National Assembly, which comprises 123 MPs, voted for the new government. The debate on the new government lasted for two days, and after the vote, the newly-elected ministers took an oath. The new Macedonian government has four deputy prime ministers - Zoran Stavrevski, who is at the same time the finance minister, Vladimir Pesevski who is in charge of economic matters, Teuta Arifi whose domain is the country's EU integration, Musa Dzaferi who is responsible for implementation of the framework agreement. Gruevski is Macedonia's sixth prime minister, and this is his third term in office.
