Serbia represents one of the key problems in the region because it does not accept the reality about Kosovo, said former leaders of some Balkan countries. They were gathered in the Montenegrin town of Becici for a conference opened by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, who believed he was addressing an audience in Macedonia. Serbia region's "key problem", conference hears Belgrade was sent a message that it must accept Kosovo's independence and lead the whole region toward the EU. "There should be attempts to help Belgrade and Pristina to focus on priorities from realistic circumstances," former Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic was quoted as saying. "Belgrade, in my opinion, must realize that a revision of borders is impossible and Kosovo is independent, whatever they think whether Kosovo should be recognized or not. And to focus on what is Serbia's future, and that us Euro perspective," said he. Former Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said that "we have sent the Croats in Bosnia the message that your country is Bosnia-Herzegovina, your capital is Sarajevo and you create your policy there. Belgrade was sent a message that it must accept Kosovo's independence and lead the whole region toward the EU.
