At least 14 people have died and 16 were injured in a bus crash some 140 kilometers north of the Albanian capital of Tirana.

At least 14 people have died and 16 were injured in a bus crash some 140 kilometers north of the Albanian capital of Tirana. Albanian officials warned, however, that the number of victims could grow, because there are three children and one adult in very serious condition. Fourteen die in bus accident in Albania Police stated that the bus was traveling under severe weather conditions and that it plummeted 400 meters into a very deep chasm. Several helicopters were sent to help transport the injured and there is still no word of how many people there were in the bus. Albanian President Bamir Topi said Prime Minister Sali Berisha visited the injured persons in Tirana and promised that the state would help the victims. Sunday would be a day of mourning in Albania in commemoration of the victims.
