New Slovenian Economy Minister Darja Radic has taken over for Matej Lahovnik, who resigned last week. Radic is a 44-year-old economic and was the state secretary in the ministry. Slovenia gets new economy minister She said that the program that she helped draft with Lahovnik would continue to be implemented, adding that the priorities would be increasing the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy, especially in tourism, and securing stable and lasting energy supplies. Lahovnik is currently a parliamentary official again, but he has said that he would be leaving the parliament as well in order to return to the Economic Faculty of the University of Ljubljana.
