Montenegrin police official Tamara Popovic claims that the murder of Croatian journalist and publisher Ivo Pukanic was not planned in Montenegro. She pointed to earlier checks carried out by the police related to the murder, which had been reported to the Croatian police. Popovic said that the Montenegrin police were not able to say what information had been given to their Croatian colleagues, because they were important to the ongoing investigation. “Journalist murder wasn’t planned in Montenegro” Belgrade daily Blic stated on Wednesday that Pukanic’s murder had been planned by crime boss Sreten Jocic and his sidekick Slobodan Djurovic, who had allegedly recently met up in Montenegro to plan the crime.
