Ante Jelavic, a former member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency who was kidnapped in Zagreb, has been freed and returned to Croatia. Croatian daily Jutarnji List writes that Jelavic talked to police, but did not mention any details related to the kidnapping, only that he would be crossing the Croatian-Bosnian border some time after 18:00 CET, after which he would report to the first police station he came across and ask to speak with one of the senior police officials there. Police have confirmed that he has been released, stating that he is currently in custody in Zagreb. “I can confirm that Jelavic is in police custody in Zagreb and that we are currently investigating the circumstances under which he disappeared,” Police Chief Krunoslav Borovec told a Croatian radio station.
