RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik says this entity can prevent Bosnia's recognition of Kosovo. The head of the Republic of Srpska (RS) government Thursday said that the Bosnian Serb entity is capable of preventing a decision in Sarajevo to accept a possible unilateral declaration of the independence of Kosovo. Dodik: We can prevent Bosnia from recognizing Kosovo Dodik told reporters in Belgrade that such a decision cannot be accepted and that RS would not give its agreement. "This is a clear stand that no one should have to check. We continue to believe that the UN Security Council should reach an agreement, and any unilateral action will not receive our support," Dodik stated. Asked what RS plans to do if ethnic Albanians were to declare independence, Dodik said that RS would reject the demand that it is recognized by Bosnia-Herzegovina, noting that this is "not insignificant." Dodik noted that the reasons for the independence of Kosovo are "not valid."
