The Podgorica committee of the DPS has proposed Mile Djukanovic as its candidate at the presidential elections. After a session last night, the Democratic Party of Socialists’s biggest committee announced its united and unreserved support for the its leader, who, they say, meets all the criteria to be “the first elected president of an independent Montenegro.“ Djukanovic favorite for DPS presidential nomination The DPS main board will make its final decision at a session on December 27. According to a statement, alongside Djukanovic, Filip Vujanovic, Svetozar Marovic, Zeljko Sturanovic and Miomir Mugosa are also in the running. The DPS main board will make its final decision at a session on December 27.

According to a statement, alongside Đukanović, Filip Vujanović, Svetozar Marović, Željko Šturanović and Miomir Mugoša are also in the running.

Almost all the DPS’ municipal organizations earlier came out in favor of Đukanović being the party’s nominee in the ballot to be held at the beginning of next year.
