Army chief could be first to be replaced by Vucic - daily

Military analyst Aleksandar Radic told the paper that replacing the army chief is "a political issue" and one that Vucic alone will be deciding on.

Radic also said that Dikovic can remain in the top army job until he turns 58, which will be in May next year. The analyst thinks it is "too early to talk about who his replacement might be."

Radic does not think that Vucic will, once he becomes president, "also replace Defense Minister Zoran Djordjevic," considering that he "personally took part in choosing Djordjevic."

But political analyst Dragomir Andjelkovic thinks that Djordjevic was appointed as a temporary solution, and therefore does not rule out the possibility that he too may be replaced.

"However, Andjelkovic also thinks that Vucic will, once he takes over as president, wish to give his personal touch to the military-security sphere, and will therefore certainly try to carry out some personnel changes," the daily writes.
