Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received on Monday US Ambassador Kyle Scott who congratulated him on winning the presidential elections.

Vucic receives US ambassador

Scott "expressed the readiness of the United States to continue to provide support and any assistance to reforms in Serbia, especially in the field of the rule of law and the judicial system, as well as on its European path."

Vucic "thanked for the congratulations and said that the result of the presidential election is good for Serbia's European path," and also "expressed satisfaction with the progress of bilateral relations between Serbia and the United States, and voiced belief that as the President he will give impetus and contribute to their further development."

Ahead of their meeting on Monday, Vucic and Kyle were engaged in an informal exchange, during which the diplomat suggested the Serbian president-elect should take at least one day off. But Vucic said he had to travel to Mostar, in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
