"Hague Tribunal takes side of Serb nationalism"

Beta agency is reporting on Friday that the paper described "the judge's speech" on Thursday as "more like the reading of the verdict to the prosecutor than to the defendant."

The presiding judge "appraised the indictment as inconsistent, and the prosecution's approach as maximalist," said the article ran under the headline, "Hague court takes side of Serb nationalism."

According to Kommersant, "it is considered in Serbia that the judgment can seriously influence the outcome of parliamentary elections."

"In any case, the return of the Radicals (SRS) to parliament is practically inevitable, to which Seselj himself has contributed a lot. Radical nationalism, one embodied in Seselj, can in this way make a comeback to Serbian politics. And that threatens the Balkans with new turmoil," said the paper.
