Neighbors' UNESCO vote on Kosovo "to reflect on relations"

"A stain on our relations will remain. Since Montenegro and Macedonia do not see us as a priority, they will be none of ours, either," Dacic said, responding to students' questions during a panel held at the Faculty of Political Sciences.

"They, too, will have some request before international organizations that we will not support," he stressed.

Dacic then "wondered how it was possible that these countries fail to differentiate between what's important for Serbia, and some moves they made in order to send a message to the West."

According to him, the issue of Kosovo's membership in UNESCO is "not the same as membership in the International Olympic Committee."

"One is about kicking a ball, the other is about Decani (monastery)," Dacic said, in reference to the medieval holy place of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC).
