Mufti of Serbia comments on Bosnian Presidency visit

"I am grateful to God that relations between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are calming down. I wish there was never war, that there was no Srebrenica, Bratunac, then the feeling would be complete. It is up to us to fight to, with our own effort, get out of situations we have been brought to by the mistakes of others," said Jusufspahic.

According to him, it is up to officials to make concrete steps towards reconciliation and joint progress.

"We can be sure that continuity of good relations is necessary toward the calming trend. Primarily the most important is the economy and better material condition of people. It will contribute to the complete calming of the situation, but then again, we walk down Knez Mihailova (Street) every day, it is our Bascarscija," Jusufspahic said in reference to the walk the Bosnian Presidency members and Vucic took together in Belgrade on Wednesday.

Bosniak Presidency member Bakir Izetbegovic said in Belgrade that the Serbian capital was "the city of his ancestors."

"I can say that Bakir's ancestors have more Belgrade ties than mine, they lived in Francuska Street in Belgrade... Somewhere, some things completely shut down, it so happened that we drifted apart..." said Jusufspahic.
