Report on Nikolic plane incident published

The slats were extended by activating the emergency button during the controlled dive by the pilot-in-command, the final incident report states, according to the statement sent to Tanjug by the Civil Aviation Directorate.

The aircraft was inspected shortly after the incident and it was established that it suffered no damage from the slat overspeed.

The Directorate adds that a preliminary report on the incident that occurred in the Serbian government's Falcon 50 on the flight from Belgrade to Rome was released on April 21.

As a technical corrective measure, the emergency slat extension button will be modified in order to prevent accidental activation, which was reported to have occurred in this type of aircraft by several operators.
