The Serbian government adopted on Friday two decrees regulating the verification method for damages in flood-affected areas.

Decrees on flood damage verification

The government also adopted a decree on the method of verification of damage caused to public companies and other organizsations founded by the Republic of Serbia.

The decrees specify the manner of verification of the damage sustained in the areas affected by the floods in May 2014, the Serbian government's press office said.

The verification procedure, intended to establish the accuracy and correctness of the estimation of flood-caused damage, will be carried out by the Office for Assistance and Reconstruction of the flooded areas.

The verification will be conducted by commissions to be formed by the director of the Office after analyzing the documentation and examining the situation in the field.
