BELGRADE The Serbian government has withdrawn three bills from parliamentary procedure, that had been drafted to confirm three agreements reached with Turkey. The government offered no reasons for the decision. The drafts were to be discussed by MPs during the session that started on Thursday. The agreements covered mutual legal aid in civil and trade issues, mutual legal aid in criminal matters, and extradition. The decision came after Serbia's top state officials strongly condemned a statement made by Turkish PM Recep Erdogan during his visit to Kosovo last month. While in the town of Prizren, he said that "Kosovo is Turkey, and Turkey Kosovo." Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu later said that the statement was "misinterpreted."
