League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV) leader Nenad Canak says a coalition led by the Democratic Party (DS) could lose elections only if a war broke out. He explained that the DS-led coalition could lose the upcoming elections only if “wars, primarily in Kosovo, were reignited“. “DS-led coalition can lose election only in case of war" “Only in that hysteria it will be possible for the coalition led by the DS to lose the elections,“ the LSV leader told weekly Novine novosadske. According to him, conflicts in Kosovo could be “ deliberately caused“, which could have immense consequences in Serbia. “If conflicts in Kosovo are not deliberately made I think that it is very likely that a group of parties gathered around the DS will win on the republic level,“ Canak was quoted as saying by the Beta news agency. This is the second time in as many days that the Democratic Party-led coalition, on whose ticket the LSV will run, has reached for the same rhetoric, warning about "war" - something that was dismissed by their oponents as fearmongering.
