I doubt any Serb with a bit of brain would be interested in a war as nothing will be left of Serbia....it will be more brutal than the last one. Albanians have got more experience.....

What like last time when NATO fought the war for you. The only experience you people have is in terrorising civilian populations, be them Serb, Roma, Macedonians and so on. Back in 1998 you people came against the Serbs which what was really a laughable force (if you can even call it that). A war without NATO standing in front of the albanians would be a walk in the park, perhaps this will be proved one day.

Berk, thank you for your daily analysis of Serbian politics, with that Albanian spin. IMHO, Canak and the DS know they are behind in the polls, and are scratching deep to find an edge that will help them get votes. Threats of war, is one of the things they dug up, and are now focusing on that hoping it will frighten Serbian citizens - see yesterday's comments from DS Vice-President Jelena Trivan - sound familiar, but in different words from Canak? Politicians are incredibly see-through, I wouldn't put too much credence in what they say, Berk, especially during election time.

@SCP sooner or later people will see through this cloud of hate and violence. And individuals like you would not have much to say. We are all humans and we are all equal.

If war would break out, elections would be among the last things Serbia should be worried about. But it is clear that Nenad real intention was to say that it is unlikely that DS will lose. I share this assumption. Question is only how the turn-out will be, and more delicately, who will get which offices. Vuk already applies for his new job and "threatens" his Lithuanian competitor.

The DS and their coalition partners are sounding evermore desperate.

I have very justified grounds to what I am saying. Human beings are equal, but it is naive and stupid to say they are the same. Also whether we are equal or not is irrelevant in this matter, is this to say that the crimes of the albanian people should never be met with any retribution for what they have done? I would be happy to have a decent and respectful discussion with a respectful albanian, however some albanians who comments on this site are as filthy as those like Thaci, and who constantly talk lies and are completely ignorant to the truth. Dont blame Serbs for being bitter and having hate, they have very just reasons in having such opinions.

Simply put ea, Serbs have more experience as well, how to deal with NATO, how to shoot down F117 aircraft, and how to rid itself. Yet I'll venture a guess, NATO would sit this one out eventually. NATO's days are numbered, as was the Warsaw Pact, and when mothers breast is no longer there to provide comfort and protection, I wonder who's gonna be crying to the cameras and wanna be reporters like christian amanpour? I think you overestimate our chances?

However, its is my true hope that war never repeats itself between albanians and Serbs, I think we've caused enough pain towards each other mutually. We need an agreement people, we need to move to a point of separation for our two communities so that time heals these wounds. Will we ever by "friends?" Doubt it and don't really care? Can we be neighbors that don't butcher one another for sport? I think we can. Let's get a rock solid agreement that is acceptable to both sides, a true agreement. Politicians make agreements to further their agenda which then is not a true agreement between PEOPLE. Perhaps we should have a conference to intelligent doctors and lawyers from both communities, EX PATS to meet in Chicago for example and figure something out. Crap..if the Irish and English can work together, French and Germans, why can't Serbs and Albanians?

Kosovo is Kosovo! You treated those people badly. There kids could not go to school, and local serbs treated albanians like a scum. Police, courts were protecting serbs only. You thought nobody can stop you in Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, but you were stoped. Did not win one war of all of those you started! Now it is over, no more Croatia, Bosnia or Kosovo within Serbia, end of big Serbia story. I guess nobody told you yet, so I will : We left you since we do not like living with you! You are not a good friend of nobody! You got what you deserved!

What do you do with people who have stolen your territory and continue to terrorise and even murder your people? Albanians have no intention of negotiating. They say it's a done deal. Kosovo is theirs and are working on making sure that non Albanians are made as uncomfortable as possible. Even the areas they don't control are under threat.

So if you have an answer on what to do and how to go about solving this peacefully we are all ears.
I am afraid only another war will get Kosovo back to it's rightful owners. You don't ask a thief politely to give it back, do you?
