"Aim is to restore trust in judiciary"

Justice Minister Snezana Malovic stated on Monday that the ministry's aim for 2011 is to restore the citizens' trust in Serbia's judiciary. "Everything we do is for the Serbian citizens and that cannot be improvisation, as the citizens will decide on whether we succeeded in it or not," Malovic said, pointing out that the ministry will persevere and work hard in the period to come. "Aim is to restore trust in judiciary" She told B92 in Belgrade on Monday that the previous year was successful particularly when it comes to the fight against organized crime and corruption and the EU integration. Speaking about the general election of judges, Malovic stressed that she expects that the laws adopted at the end of 2010 will contribute to removing all doubts about the general election procedure. False facts have often appeared in the public making the entire process more complicated and sometimes making us reach wrong conclusions, the minister said.
