LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic has evaluated that Serbia needs a new policy after the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Kosovo. Two urgent decisions should be made that Serbia is accelerating its integration into the European Union and that the official Belgrade should state that it is prepared to lead the country into NATO, Jovanovic said in an interview published by Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti. "Accelerated EU, NATO bids needed" “The court decision had only confirmed that we need a new policy that will be capable of presenting our interests as the interests of decision-makers, and those are the EU and America,” said Jovanovic. “We have to change our foreign policy, our relations with neighbors, continue the reform process, create a socially responsible state, reform the pension system, modernize our society,” the LDP leader believes. Jovanovic evaluated as major mistake the fact that Serbia took by surprise the EU and America by urgently forwarding its resolution to the United Nations, which, he believes, is a continuation of the tactics which is met with great opposition to Serbia within Europe and America.

Jovanović evaluated as major mistake the fact that Serbia took by surprise the EU and America by urgently forwarding its resolution to the United Nations, which, he believes, is a continuation of the tactics which is met with great opposition to Serbia within Europe and America.
