Spanish FM Miguel Angel Moratinos said that his country's decision not to recognize Kosovo "has not changed in any way". His comments came a day after the ICJ ruled that the Kosovo Albanian UDI did not breach international law, since that law had no active provision that limited such declarations. The United States welcomed the ICJ ruling, and called on more countries to recognize Kosovo.
