The Human and Minority Rights Ministry has decided to extend the deadline for the forming of the Bosniak (Muslim) National Council in Serbia. The ministry also called on representatives of all three election lists that took part in the recent council elections to reach agreement on setting up the body, as such an outcome would be in the interest of the state, and the Bosniak people in Serbia. Bosniak Council deadline extended The deadline for all ethnic minority councils to be constituted expired on July 9. The ministry said the Bosniak Council session called to officially set up the body had failed, as there was no two-third majority present. The ministry did not set a new deadline for the officials of the Bosniak lists to meet and overcome their differences.
