First Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic will spend seven days on a visit to the United States, MUP has announced. Dacic is set to meet with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, FBI Director Robert Mueller and other U.S. officials, the statement said. Dacic to start week-long visit to U.S. On February 4, the minister will attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington. Dacic said recently that his trip stateside and attendance of the Washington gathering would be the first for any member of his Socialist Party (SPS), and that it would be beneficial and positive for the development of political relations between the two countries. SPS was founded by its lifelong leader, late Slobodan Milosevic, and forced to relinquish a decade-long grip on power in the country, along with Milosevic, in 2000. The party returned to government last year.

On February 4, the minister will attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington.
