PM Mirko Cvetkovic says it is official Belgrade's position that Serbia will accept anything the three sides in Bosnia agree on. He told a news conference after a cabinet meeting on Friday in Belgrade that Serbia wishes for a solution to be found that would be acceptable to all participants, and said he expected the talks to move in that direction. Serbia supports compromise in Bosnia A meeting in Butmir, near Sarajevo, between the EU and U.S. officials and the leaders of the seven largest political parties in Bosnia-Herzegovina ended on Friday, with the leaders of the parties given proposals for measures they would have to take for Bosnia "to become a functional country," reports said. In Istanbul, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic commented by saying that Bosnia will also be a subject of conversation as he meets with his Bosnian and Turkish counterparts. "I think that at this point is it very important to maintain as close as possible neighborly ties," said Jeremic. "A process is unfolding in Bosnia at this moment that I hope could end in compromise. It's important to reach compromise that would enable Bosnia-Herzegovina and all others to move even faster on the road of EU integration." Jeremic, who is taking part in a meeting of member-states of the Process of Cooperation in Southeastern Europe, also stated that regional cooperation is one of Serbia's most important foreign policy priorities, and that peace and stability in the region are a precondition for European integration.
