EULEX says the judicial system in Kosovo is not sufficiently protected from outside influence, and that Kosovo judges are working under difficult conditions. The EU mission in Kosovo says that judges are constantly subjected to threats and pressure. Judges in Kosovo are not abiding by the rules during sensitive cases, EULEX notes, calling on the Kosovo government to address the problem of insufficient protection of the judiciary and to protect prosecutors and judges from threats and pressures.
