Regardless of the past wars, economies of Serbia and Croatia are referred to one another, Dinkic told reporters after the signing of the Agreement, adding that closer cooperation of the two real sectors will lead to more work and thus to a bigger trade volume. Dinkic informed Polancec about the initiative to compensate Serbia's companies for their property in Croatia and Croatia's companies fore their property in Serbia in capital instead of property. Dinkic pointed out cases in which an assumption of property will imply an assumption of capital assets only and not obligations, stating that companies which are experiencing problems would sell the property in order to obtain capital. Cases of companies from both countries and their property claims will be addressed step by step, using the reciprocity principle, said Dinkic. Polancec underscored that trade volume of EUR 830mn in 2008 is "big, but that it may be even bigger", adding that an agreement was reached during the talks on cooperation in the area of agriculture, food industry, construction of roads and infrastructure along Corridor 10 in Serbia. Dinkic and Polancec agreed that the Law on protection of domestic products adopted by the Bosnia-Herzegovina Parliament, increasing tariffs on goods from Serbia and Croatia, is unacceptable and contrary to the principles of the regional CEFTA free trade deal, particularly in a time of crisis. They announced that they would respond to state protectionism in Bosnia-Herzegovina and take appropriate measures.
