RTB Bor starting price: US$ 340mn

The latest attempt to privatize the company will call for potential buyers to also set aside US$ 180mn for future investment.

Dinkić reminded reporters Wednesday that the previous tender set US$ 260mn as the starting price, and added the new minimum sum was identical to that sumbitted by the second-placed bidder, a consortium of East Point and Orn, in the previous, failed tender.

Dinkić expressed belief that the procedure will wrap up by the end of 2007.

The Law on Privatization will be amended, the minister said, in order to avoid the problems that occurred in the first tender, when, according to him, there were no legal grounds to start negotiations with East Point-Orn, after the winner, Romanian Cuprom, withdrew its US$ 400mn acquisition bid on April 25.
